Outsourcing versus Insourcing

My soul friend, Ginny Gane, asked me to speak with her Radiant Health group last week, and I was excited to share my perception of “Outsourcing versus Insourcing”. It was a joyful honor to connect with women who are ready to create radiant health in a new way, beyond the old ideas of rules, fear, lack, limitation and not enough.

The concept of insourcing came to me when I was talking with a friend who’d had an awareness that she was outsourcing her spirituality and guidance, for example: pulling tarot cards, looking up astrology forecasts, having energy work done, and listening to guided meditations.

While these are all wonderful and enjoyable tools, they had started to feel like a way to avoid tuning in. She was feeling the nudge to discover her own unique guidance and Truth, but didn’t really know how. This is the norm, as we have been taught that we are separate from Source, and thus need to outsource our beliefs, choices, and actions.

Celebrating the Now

This past Friday, Ginny Gane and I recorded a celebration podcast, because we are overflowing with excitement about our Awaken Your Truth 2025 community! If you haven’t listened yet, check it out here. You’ll hear more about why we are feeling so celebratory, and also enjoy the energy of our incredible community as alumni share their Awaken Your Truth 2024 experiences.

This morning I was prompted by my Inner Being to continue to activate that energy, by writing a rampage of celebration in my journal. It went something like this:

In this Now, I am celebrating my absolute, unconditional freedom- the freedom that is inherent within me, regardless of external circumstances.

¡Feliz Navidad!

Feliz Navidad!

Today Tom and I are playing a Christmas game called “Al sí y al no” that we learned here in Medellín. The objective of the game is to avoid using the words “yes” or “no” for the whole day. You try to trap someone by asking a yes/no question, but the savvy player will respond with something akin to “of course” or “absolutely not”. Using “yes” or “no” traditionally means you have to give the questioner a gift (every time!). We decided to give hugs and then keep a tally of points. At the end of the day the loser has to buy a gift to surprise the winner!

Are You Taking Refuge in Security?

I used to wear a necklace daily with the words, “I am free”. Every time I touched or felt it, I would be reminded that I am not my thoughts, I am not old stories. I am not conditioned beliefs.

The thoughts/stories/beliefs that felt like bondage were the “not enoughs”.

I made a mistake- I’m not good enough.

Who wants to hear what I have to say? I’m not good enough.

My clothes feel too tight- I’m not good enough.

I’m not fun enough, funny enough, smart enough, young enough, thin enough, interesting enough…blah blah blah!

All of those thoughts prevented me from the freedom of fully embodying my Truth.
